Services

Vet SOS provides free veterinary care to companion animals of homeless San Franciscans and links their guardians with health care services. They operate twice monthly pop-up veterinary clinics and provide weekly curbside delivery of pet food and supplies. They also offer telemedicine and medication refills by appointment.

PHS/SPCA operates a state-of-the-art mobile spay/neuter surgery suite that travels to targeted neighborhoods on the Peninsula (including San Francisco) to perform low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for owned pets. This helps to control pet overpopulation and prevent accidental litters that create a new generation of unwanted animals. Each year, this program alters more than 1,000 cats and dogs, reducing the number of unwanted kittens and puppies that end up in the shelter system.

The SFCCC develops programs and advocates for policies to increase access to community-based primary care for all San Franciscans, especially the uninsured. They deliver health care in culturally-, linguistically-, and population-sensitive settings. Their two primary programs are Street Outreach Services (SOS) and Vet SOS.
